Summer Begins May 7th with Anchorage Farmers Market Start Date
There are many signs to the beginning of an Alaskan summer such as
the first site of an ice-free sidewalk, anew born moose and the opening
day of the Farmers Market. This year the Anchorage Farmers Market opens May 7, 9 AM to 2 PM. The market is located at 15th and Cordova and a map is linked on their site.
The opening date for our market is May 7. We will start by selling bedding plants, hanging baskets, fertilizer, apple trees and products from farms. There will also be an Alaskan seafood vendor selling oysters and other Alaskan fish, freshly baked rustic breads and Matanuska Creamery ice cream and cheeses.
